Next April 2012 I'm running the London marathon for Tommy's and hope that the sales from this pattern can contribute towards my fundraising target. This is a fantastic pattern based around the basic stitches knit & purl. Bring a little but of class and cuteness to your babies feet and give it a go!

Tommy's charity was set up in 1992 at St Thomas’s Hospital London and today leads the way in maternal and fetal research in the UK. To give every baby the best chance of being born healthy, they work to fund medical research into premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage.

Above Orange & Lime Camper Vans.......

…..Hi, my name is Julia and I currently live in South Yorkshire, UK. I was looking for a potential gift for my son’s birthday when I found Leah’s knitted Camper Van pattern. Not only would it make an ideal handmade gift but it would also satisfy my new found knitting obsession. I made an orange version for my son’s birthday. When my friend saw the finished “VW” she asked if I could possibly make one in lime green as a gift for her son and daughter in law, who happen to own a life size lime green camper van. The van number plates offered a chance to “customize” the piece in embroidery with the names of the couple and I made a few other slight modifications on the wheels. The knitted surfboard attached to the top makes the ideal accessory because the “knitted VW” owners also like to do a bit of surfing in real life too. a little about me… My name is Rebekah I live in Eastern Washington, USA with my wonderful Husband of 12 years. I started knitting about 3 years ago. I picked this pattern because we just bought a 1968 VW Bug that we are in the process of fixing up. I really want a Van so this was to spur the old hubs into finishing the bug faster so we could buy the camper van. The second van I made was for a fellow blogger who is the VW Queen. I love the feature on the website www.Esty.com that allows you to currate treasuries of other sellers fabulous products. These are two of my favorites collections that I have styled which have been used for the home page of the site. I called them '1940's Foreign Office' and 'Mandarine & Concrete'. I love thinking of an unusual theme..usually inspired by the first product I choose to use. Think I had a bit of a grey obsession thing going on! :) I love searching a wide range of products from photography, cosmetics, homewears & fashion, supplies, hand made crafts.

More Xmas Sparkle!

Still in preparation for xmas I've designed these great giant knitted baubles. Forever mixing crafts, this time I've mixed my knit with pinned sequins...I'm not sure what it is called..pin art, pin flair (or is that the company brand, not sure?) Anyway I had great fun. Working on four needles I knitted half of the sphere shape. Put in the polystyrene ball. knitted a bit more, then pulled all the stitches in tight. Then I cast off and pinned the edge of the knitting to secure it. Photographed this weekend in my friends absolutely stunning house which is every vintage loving girls dream house. My friends & I suffer house envy every time we visit :)

Annoyingly I fell prey to a really horrible computer virus and have being without my computer for the past week. I was looking for a circular aran pattern that I could use for the top of a pouff. I had googled ‘circular aran patterns’, was on a pattern website (not a popular one!) and a message came up saying I had a very harmful virus & to download some software …stupidly I clicked on ‘OK’, which is when I kind of downloaded it to my windows……& it’s being terrible to get rid of. Luckily I have a clever ex! So not a good start to my blogging. I’m just working on some adverts to go into knitting magazines. Here is a sneak preview of my New knitting patterns, ‘The Naughty Dinosaurs’ and ‘The Dino-Cushions’….coming to my sites to download from September!
